I'm Lucy, a ceramic artist from Los Angeles currently based in London, where I'm completing my MA in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art. My practice spans function and form, using clay as a material to explore memory and play, diving into the emotional lives of objects.

 

I'm deeply rooted in material exploration and curiosity. My pieces invite touch and discovery, and are currently informed by childhood memory and the ways in which we preserve fragments of our lives through objects.

I move between fine art and functional forms, and try to embrace playfulness and whimsy while touching on the tactility and inherent nature of the material.

I've worked in clay for 14 years, and received my BA from Miami University before I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in ceramics.
